You are going to see at this site, at any one given time, about 30 paintings. These works will rotate as new ones are completed. Paintings shown are in reverse chronological order (newest first). Paintings are grouped stylistically.
Works from this artist are in private collections in the U.S., South America and Europe. He holds a BA and a MFA in painting and sculpture.

ARTISTS STATEMENT:
"The subject matter of my work, color, line, texture, form and space, is also the conceptual underpinning of understanding paintings in general. I chose to paint in a non-representational format as well as in several abstract formats. Although for the most part I avoid the figurative, one may find recognizable shapes. There is, after all, a natural tendency for a viewer to see vertical forms as human and to perceive horizontal shapes as landscape.
There are no messages or hidden agendas. I work with layers of thick and thin color; added, wiped, dripped, sanded, poured, scrumbled---one may see past layers, lines and forms---there is a sense of accumulation, the visual essence of time."
